Eating clean is a simple approach to nutrition, health and weight loss that produces positive effects on your physical and mental health. It is focusing on food that is organic, whole and naturally nutritious and simplifying your diet.

Clean eating is not just a diet, it is a lifestyle. It involves cutting out unnecessary food (and calories) and revolves around foods that contain lean protein, complex carbohydrates and healthy fats. Besides the health benefits that your body will benefit from when you eat clean, it will actually improve your appearance. It has been noted that up to 80% of what you look like is due to what you eat! Eating clean will let your body shed fat naturally and will give you amazing skin, hair and nails. The basic premise of an eating clean diet is to stick to whole, fresh and organic foods as well as smaller portions of organic sprouted grains and healthy fats found in avacados, olive oil, olives, nuts and certain types of fish. Although ideally you would cut out processed foods altogether, sometimes it is not possible. Take a good look at the diet that you eat now and there may be a few foods that you just cannot give up and that is fine. So long as you are sticking to a whole foods diet for the most part your health won&undefined;t be affected too much. 

Many people believe that eating clean involves a ton of preparation time and unnecessary food costs. Fortunately eating clean doesn&undefined;t have to involve either. If you can grow some of your own food or shop at local farmers markets you can cut your cost way down. Also, eating healthy doesn&undefined;t have to involve a lot of preparation – salads, home made soups and super healthy sandwiches take mere minutes to prepare.
