Essential Summer Supplements
Although winter time is generally the time that people worry most about taking all their vitamins in order to avoid the rash of cold and flues that predominate during this season, the body needs the same amount of nutrients during the summer months. As such, summer weather is no excuse for foregoing your regular supplement regime. Instead, there are certain vitamins and minerals that are especially important during these months.
During the summertime the hot weather can lead to sleeplessness and sometimes artificially high energy levels. While energy is good, insomnia is not. Getting your nervous system in check with some Vitamin B supplements is therefore a great place to begin. Vitamin B complex is an essential vitamin all through the year, but if you’re feeling extra anxious or jittery with the onset of summer than you can really benefit from these vitamins.

In the summer some of us are able to get enough vitamin D through sun exposure, however, if you are prone to burning and thus utilize high SPF sunscreen and cover yourself from head to toe, then you might still need to take vitamin D supplementation. So if you’re not keen on getting sick on your holidays, add this vitamin to your regular regimen.
As always a good multivitamin and mineral complex can do wonders for your health. If you have a hard time getting in all your required nutrients than simply adding in a multi can benefit you greatly. Although you will still need to pair this with a healthy exercise program and nutritious diet, at the very least a multivitamin can help cover some of the bases.
