The evening primrose plant, or Oenothera biennis, has been commonly referred to as the “sun drop” or “tree primrose”. This plant is found all over North America as well as certain parts of Europe and in the Southern Hemisphere. The native people have been using it to cure many ailments for thousands of years by pressing the oil out of the seed of the plant.
