It’s Not You! I’m Hungry!

Your significant other may be upset, they may be sad, they may be frustrated…or they could simply be craving a Snickers bar or some cheese and crackers.

If your sweetie's upset or crabby, don't assume he or she feels unloved or unheard, suggests John Gray, the Mars/Venus communications guru. Instead, your partner might just be hungry. He also contends women are far more sensitive to sugar lows, and encourages men to keep healthy snacks, such as popcorn, handy.

Hungry men, on the other hand, more easily suffer dopamine deficiencies, which can make them vulnerable to addictions and driving over the speed limit. For them he suggests a morning exercise program and foods rich in protein.

Watch for the signs. Next time you feel some irritability at home, on a road trip, or on an outing, ask your partner if he or she is hungry. A quick meal may be all they need.
