Cortislim Weight Loss Pill is made by Window Rock Enterprises. The formula is made up of a variety of plant extracts, minerals, vitamins and herbs. The design of the pill is said to help boost weight loss potential and reduce stress thereby contributing to improved fat burning.

By targeting the hormone cortisol, known as the stress hormone, Cortislim is marketed as being a potent weight loss and fat burning supplement.

Stress has long been known to reduce fat loss potential. There is certainly a well researched connection between chronic stress, excess fat, and obesity. Chronic stress has been shown to make weight loss much more difficult and potentially to add fat and slow metabolic functioning.

In one study, stress was found to be a contributor to the accumulation of fat due to a continued hyperactivation of the HPA axis. In another study, it was determined that overeating in response to stress can not only become habitual but can also result in neurobiological adaptations that make it compulsive.

What this all means is that there is a correlation between cortisol and fat retention. Cortislim utilizes herbs, minerals and vitamins that are known to lower stress levels. One such ingredient is called Magnolia. Magnolia has been found to reduce weight gain in clinical trials. It is also known as an anti-stress supplement.

Green tea extract and Citrus aurantium or bitter orange are also important ingredients. These have both been found to be thermogenic in their effects. What this means is that the body’s core temperature is slightly raised resulting in an increased metabolic rate.

The company did get in trouble with the FTC for making what were said to be deceptive claims about the effectiveness of their products.

Regardless of the infomercials’ claims, the ingredients in Cortislim are well known to produce weight loss results. Thus while the company may have overstated their case and made claims that have not been scientifically collaborated, the ingredients listed in Cortislim have a long history of use and are generally thought to help promote weight loss and reduce stress.
