Most, if not all, company policies hold the customer responsible for Customs/Duty charges. We get the occasional irate email from an upset person who was dinged with a little value added bill.
Well, we've decided to try something new with our shipping policy. It now reads,
"Customers are responsible for any duties or taxes that may apply, however, we're happy to split the bill if you send us a copy of the Customs receipt."
We've already tried this offer with a handful of customers and it produced some good responses and feedback.
This is a little way of giving back and was conceived after consulting and reviewing suggestions by customers. Feel free to tell us what you think of this new policy and if you would do anything differently.
