Having an overactive bladder (OAB) can be a big distraction, or even an impediment to your quality of life. OAB is defined as an increased urinary urgency, or a sudden and powerful need to urinate. Another OAB symptom is known as ‘urge incontinence’, where undesired urine leakage occurs throughout the day. Before an accident occurs, the person might have an urge sensation but not be capable of getting to a toilet before urine leakage occurs. Frequent urination is another known OAB issue, defined as urinating at least nine times each day.
