Now Red Yeast Rice with CoQ10 is a Red Yeast Rice and CoQ10 supplement designed to help naturally lower cholesterol and enhance liver protection.
Red Yeast Rice is a natural food product made from fermenting white rice and red yeast. Traditionally, Chinese people have used it to enhance food and wine coloring. It is used in the color preparation of Peking duck and pickled tofu. Japanese sake and Korean rice wine also use red yeast rice to improve the color of the wine. Aside from that, red yeast rice is traditionally also considered a medicinal ingredient in most Asian countries.
A naturally occurring substance known as monocolins, particularly one called lovastatin, is present in red yeast rice. This substance can naturally decrease cholesterol levels in the body, thereby preventing high blood pressure. Lovastatin interferes with the cholesterol production in the liver. When this happens, it can also affect the production of another important compound known as CoQ10.

It also uses a Milk Thistle extract and alpha lipoic acid to enhance liver protection. Red Yeast Rice with CoQ10 has also designed a way to eliminate a harmful by-product of the red yeast fermentation called citrinin.
For best results, use regularly for 8-12 weeks before doing a blood cholesterol test. This product should not be taken with regular cholesterol medicine unless advised by a physician.
