Rating Lipo-6X is the latest version of Lipo-6’s ephedra-free formulation. For the most part it is just a little bit improved version of Lipo-6’s original formula. It does have some additional ingredients, but the main ingredients (caffeine, synephrine, yohimbe, guggulsterones, and bioperine) are pretty much the same as the original and in the same doses.
One of the additional ingredients is Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which has been proven effective in promoting weight loss. However, most of the studies used at least twice as much as what is in Lipo-6X.
The main aspect of the new formula is Acacia Rigidula extract, which is standardized as phenethylamine (PEA). This is a feel good chemical found in chocolate and is similar to amphetamine, but they do not deliver a high like one would expect for something like amphetamine due to it mostly being metabolized before it gets to the bloodstream.
Hordenine is also in Lipo-6X because it is believed to help with fat and weight loss by improving norepinephrine release, but there is no research to validate this claim. Hordenine supposedly attracts phenylethylamine and helps more of it reach the bloodstream intact instead of being broken down. The actual effectiveness has no clinical validation.
Another ingredient tyramine might improve release of neurotransmitters including dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. This is another ingredient that the hordenine helps get to the bloodstream instead of being broken down.
Is Lipo-6X really a more advanced version of the original Lipo-6? It is different in that it has CLA, but it is in smaller amounts than studies have shown to be useful. The Acacia Rigidula is also an addition, but not necessarily a good one, as the effectiveness of hordenine to help phenylethylamine reach the bloodstream has not been back up by research. If it is effective, the ability for it to help with weight loss is a claim with nothing to back it up. Directions: Recommended Use To Burn Fat Fast: Start off with only 2 multi-phase capsules on your first two days (1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon) and increase dosage by 1 multi-phase capsule every two days until maximum dosage of 4 multi-phase capsules per day is reached.
