Rating Yohimbine is an alkaloid that comes from the inner bark of a southern African species of trees known as Corynanthe yohimbe. The tree’s bark has long been used as an aphrodisiac. In modern times it has also begun to be used to treat erectile dysfunction in animals and obesity.
Yohumbine might be useful for fat loss, although the studies have not been thoroughly done yet. The clinical trial data so far does show that it certainly possesses potential to help with fat loss. This includes a 1991 3-week study of 20 females restricted to a 1000 calorie diet. The group that also took 20mg of yohimbine lost 3 more pounds than the placebo group.
The ability of yohimbine to help with weight loss is attributed to its ability to suppress appetite and reduce energy intake. Yohimbine helps promote fat loss by blocking alpha(2) adrenorecptors. These receptors prevent the breakdown of fat, so by blocking them fat breakdown can continue. This is especially useful for getting rid of fat in stubborn areas.
Yohimbine is also an effective sexual stimulant. Studies have found it improves copulatory behavior and decreases sexual exhaustion in male rats. There is evidence that it also helps treat male erectile dysfunction and can improve sexual arousal in women with sexual arousal disorder.
There are several side effects related to taking yohimbine. This includes anxiety, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, elevated levels of NE, and insomnia. The effects are especially common when used at higher doses.
Pure yohimbine HCL is the safest and most consistent form of yohimbine. Yohimbine topical solutions can also be useful for those wanting to target particular trouble spots for fat loss and avoid side effects related to ingestion.
A daily dosage of about 1mg per 10 pounds of weight is usually effective with minimal side effects. Higher doses are usually used for sexual stimulant effects. When taken for fat loss it is usually taken twice a day and on an empty stomach for it to be most effective. When first taking yohimbine it is good to start with a half or smaller dose to test your sensitivity.
Yohimbine can be combined with other ingredients such as arginine and other NO boosters to create more potent sexual stimulants. It might also work well with caffeine for fat loss supplements. (Posted on 2/27/11) -

Rating This product is awsome, a bit too expensive compared to US, thought this still worth it. This is only for people with low bf %, like 10 to 12% who wants to achieve extreme leanness (4-5%). for the rest out there, stick with your ECA till you drop that low, where the ECA becomes useless to get rid of the last bit of fat.

Rating I've seen companies advertising 20mg of yohimbe per serving and lately have been quite disappointed that they ewren't very strong. I've used this on the advice of a friend and one capsule at 2.5mg yohimbine is stronger than most other yohimbe products out there. It suppresses my appetite, puts me in a better more upbeat mood and increases my focus and sexual desire. Really good product. (Posted on 3/9/09)
