Omega Nutrition Cold Milled Flax Seeds - 15 oz contains chopped seeds of the flax plant, which are known to be an excellent source of proteins, fibers, and the essential fatty acid omega-3.

The flax seeds included in the Omega Nutrition Cold Milled Flax Seeds - 15 oz are all natural and meticulously selected to provide only the best nutritional value and flavor. These seeds are also chopped using cold mills, so as to be sure that the highly important essential fatty acids are preserved. The flax is also not crushed, to make sure that the precious oil is retained.

Flax Seeds are rich in lignans and essential fatty acids (EFA's) which are necessary to promote good health. Lignans are complex carbohydrates are commonly found in high-fiber foods derived from plants. Flax seeds have found to have as much as 800 times more lignans compared to around 68 other vegetables and fruits. They are considered to be the most excellent source of plant lignans.
