FUTUREBIOTICS® DHEA (50 mg) provides the body with DHEA, a rich natural hormone produced naturally by adrenal glands. These glands produce more than 150 hormones, but the DHEA is considered the most significant as it is the richest and the most used by the body.

After being produced by the glands, DHEA is absorbed in to the blood and body cells where it is converted to estrogen (for a woman) and androgens (for a man). It is not only the adrenal glands that make DHEA but also the brain produces small quantities of this rich hormone within its neurons.

The levels of DHEA increase in the body until the age of 25, but thereafter they start to decrease steadily with the aging process, denying the body of the beneficial changes that can be obtained from this rich hormone.
