Rating T-Bomb II is advertised as being “the most significant development in Pro-Testosterone Technology since prohormones!” Herbal testosterone boosters have been around for awhile, but their abilities are questionable, as there are few credible published studies on individual ingredients and the supposed in house studies are kept secret. Unlike prohormones, most of the ingredients in herbal t-boosters have limited effectiveness.
Tribulus terrestris – This is believed to improve testosterone levels by stimulating the pituitary gland to make luteinzing hormone. However, this is based only on an old Bulgarian research study that has not been replicated in the West and animal studies. More recent human studies found it ineffective.
Fenugreek – This has been shown to cause hypocholesterolemic and hypoglycemic effects, but there is no evidence of it helping increase testosterone.
Tongkat Ali – This is used as an aphrodisiac in Southeast Asia. There are some animal studies that show it improves libido and sexual performance, but only in very high doses.
Red Clover Extract – This is a phytoestrogen source that one study found it capable of lowering prostate specific antigen by about 30%.
Chrysin – This was once marketed as an aromatase inhibitor, but further research has shown that it is poorly absorbed and thus ineffective.
Kudu Root – This is a alternative/folk remedy for menopausal symptoms and osteoporosis.
Diindolylmethane – This helps with estrogen balance and acts as an androgen receptor antagonist in prostate cancer cells.
Avena Sativa – This is believed to improve libido and sexual performance, but there is no clinical proof.
Pygeum Africanum Extract, Stinging Nettle Leaf Extract, Saw Palmetto Berry Extract, and Beta Sitosterol – These ingredients have been found to effectively help with enlarged prostate symptoms. However, there is no evidence it improves testosterone.
Bioperine – This improves the absorption of some nutrients.
2nd Messenger Hormone Amplifiers: This is a mix of flaxseed, amino acids, minerals, mushroom powder and NADH, which cannot be in high enough amounts to be beneficial.
Basically, T-Bomb II contains a lot of things, but most have no evidence other than being aphrodisiacs, which does not translate to increasing testosterone. Based on the feedback of users, it does seem it works to some extent, but there are also some negative reviews.
