Quick Overview

Fucoxanthin is unique because it creates a thermogenic effect without stimulating the central nervous system. Fucoxanthin actually boosts your metabolism, without giving you the jitters or causing you to lose sleep. Instead of the shotgun approach of boosting your metabolism by stimulating the central nervous system, fucoxanthin breaks down fat without the increased heart rate.

Details

FucoTHIN is an all natural, whole based food supplement that is produced with an original concentration of fucoxanthin mixed with pomegranate seed oil, to produce a patent-pending formula that naturally has thermogenic benefits. Leading scientists, for many years, have done a lot of research on FucoTHIN and it is the only formula that has human clinical research that confirms its thermogenic effect.

The process in which the body speeds up its metabolic rate, requiring the use of internal stores of energy, such as fat, is referred to as thermogenesis. FucoTHIN supports the metabolism, which is the breaking down of visceral fat, including belly fat. FucoTHIN works to make your diet and exercise program work better. And, best of all, FucoTHIN does not stimulate the central nervous system, so you will not experiences any night jitters or lose any sleep!

FucoTHIN™ is a fat burner that contains two ingredients. One is fuxoxanthin, which is a carotenoid found in seaweed and other marine vegetables. The other is punicic acid also referred to as conjugated linolenic acid which comes from pomegranate seed oil.

The FucoTHIN™’s sales material promotes it as a fat burner effective at improving metabolism and thus helping the body burn more fat. It is supposed to do this effectively without causing jitters or other side effects. Additionally, it says that it or the ingredients have been extensively studied. However, there are issues with these claims.

Firstly, while there have been studies on fucoxanthin and punicic acid, there does not appear to be any published peer-reviewed, double-blind, placebo controlled studies using the FucoTHIN™ product. This is bad because the sales material certainly leads one to believe at least one such study done. There is not even any studies that use any sort of combination of both fucoxanthin and punicic acid.

The problem with the lack of any studies that included both main ingredients of FucoTHIN™ is that the advertising claims the ingredients work together to provide a better result than the two used separately. Thus there really has been nothing backing up the claims the advertising materials are making. The closest it comes to referencing any actual studies is that several Russian scientific centers did the research. The mentioning of Russia is even less credible than if the only claims were referred to as being done by North American or European researchers. This is because there tend to be major inconsistencies between Russian and Western studies for reasons such as minimal clinical funding, flawed methodology, and rampant corruption in Russian clinical studies.

Eventually evidence of the actual study came out, but in the meantime other studies have come out that proved that fucoxanthin is not easily absorbed into the body (Br J Nutr 2008;Jan 11:1-5) and thus does not support the products like FucoTHIN™ being effective. There are some studies that show fuxoxanthin and punicic acid to be effective in rats or mice, but not humans. (Biochem Biophys Res Commun 2005 Jul 1;332(2):392-7).

The bottom line is that the ingredients in FucoTHIN™ have only shown real results in mice and rat weight loss. The claim to its ability to promote weight loss in humans does not have any credible clinical studies to back up.

I am the manager of a health food store in Ontario.

I have recommended Fucothin since reading the information and my customers are experiencing incredible results.

One customer lost 10lbs in a week, while another woman who I was speaking with today lost 16lbs in one month.

I was blown away considering the reading materials said people wouldn’t experience noticeable results until after 8 weeks. My customers are very happy with this product.
