Enzymedica Candidase helps control candida overgrowth with two enzymes. People who have excess yeast in the digestive tract often have undigested fiber in the colon. The enzyme cellulase breaks down fiber, but the body can’t produce this enzyme naturally, so supplementing it can help remove excess fiber along with mucous to help balance the body’s systems. Yeast cells contain some fungal cellulose or chitin, which is a carbohydrate with a structure similar to cellulose. Cellulase can help break down chitin in the colon. Yeast cells also contain protein, which is hydrolyzed (digested) by protease. Protease is included in this formula to help break down yeast fungus and prevent its overgrowth. This is helpful for removing a symptom of cleansing called “die-off.”
