Once you get used to it, its fabulous! Review by Empressah
Rating When I initially tried it, I didn't like it but I persevered as I was desperate to rid my body from all the sugar and reoccurring yeast imbalances from my very sweet tooth. So I added the slightest bit along with my sugar (was using Agave as my source). Then kept increasing the Stevia, while cutting back the sugar/Agave. Within a couple of weeks I had made the switch and now love the taste of my tea and coffee with it. I have also started the switch in my baking and cooking.
So my advice to newbies would be to follow my example if stevia tastes bad at first, your body will thank you! (Posted on 6/30/10) -
I've had this before - but many years ago Review by Jennifer
Rating Absolutely fine in tea and coffee, though I find even half the tiny spoonful of stevia too much at times. Can't imagine there'd be an even tinier spoon, but haven't found a way round it. (Posted on 6/23/10)

excellent product Review by Sian
Rating NOW Stevia extract powder is high quality - a little goes a long way. I used another similar product when overseas, and I needed much more to get the same sweetening. It would have 5 stars but that I wanted the type with chromium in it. It also, most importantly, tastes good. I especially like the little spoon. (Posted on 2/15/10)

Fantastic product Review by Joanna
Rating Undoubtedly the best sweetener I've tried - and I've tried a few. Tastes sweet in a mellow and wholesome way, similar to, but better than sugar. Indeed, having used it for a year, I now never feel the lack of sugar, and actually I'm now disappointed by the comparative taste of sugar when I have to use it in restaurants. Suck it and see! You won't be disappointed by Stevia. The little spoon supplied with the tub is a laugh too. (Posted on 11/26/09)

Give it a try - and you'll be hooked - and not in a bad way! Review by James
Rating Yes, Stevia very slightly alters the taste of my cup of darjeeling tea, but I got used to it quickly. Now I would not, could not, in a boat, in a plane, a train, nor with a Dutchman or a Dane - be without it! The knowledge that one is sweetening stuff non-calorifically, and without nasty artificial processes or additives, is stunning. Then there's the wonderful little spoon you get to dish it out with. Thus one delivers the stevia with a secretive little, fetishistic ceremony - not unlike cocaine but totally innocent! Suck it and See! (Posted on 8/15/09)

Fab! Review by Jandanjan
Rating This stuff was recommended to me by a Canadian cousin visiting here in the UK. I tried a little bit of it and it is fab! It is sweet but also has a slight bitterness to it so its not a heavy syrupy sugar taste but was lovely with just a tiny bit of it sprinkled over strawberries - very nice indeed. I have yet to try it in hot drinks as I only have sugar in coffee and only have coffee when I am out as a special treat but will give it a go this week. Also the delivery service to the UK was incredibly fast and reasonably priced. (Posted on 7/15/09)

top quality and great taste Review by Deane
Rating This is the best sweetner I have ever tasted. Its not quite the taste of sugar but if you are used to sweetners then this is a no-brainer, go for it you won't be dissapointed. (Posted on 6/29/09)

This was a trial purchase, but I will definitely be reordering as I'm delighted with it. Review by Krystyna
Rating I didn't order before as I had heard stevia had a slight taste of aniseed, which is not something I like. However I thought it was worth a try and I honestly cannot say there is any kind of taste apart from sweetness, and no aftertaste either. So far I have only used it in tea and coffee, but will be trying it out in recipes just as soon as I can find the time. Will probably buy larger orders as it is expensive, although will last some time as so little is required. All in all, I wish I had tried it long ago. (Posted on 6/28/09)

Good as far as stevia goes Review by Marie
Rating As far as stevia goes, this stuff is good, but stevia doesn't taste to me anything like sugar. I stopped using it after the first couple of tries... (Posted on 6/28/09)

Good if you like stevia Review by Marie
Rating This is a great product as far as stevia goes, but I hadn't tasted the stuff before, and it doesn't taste anything like sugar to me. Doesn't work for me very well as an alternative sweetener... (Posted on 6/28/09)

Rating This is such a great sweetener! Stevia is a wonderful alternative to sugar. I first heard of Stevia when I started training for my first marathon and I made drastic changes to my diet. Sugar was one of them and it was so hard to eliminate it. I replaced sugar in my coffee and teas with stevia, not only is it much sweeter than regular sugar it has none of sugars unhealthy drawbacks, it also has no calories! I have recently discovered that it also has so many more uses! This stuff is fantastic! (Posted on 1/19/09)

- Can I use Stevia for baking?
- Hi and thanks for your question.
Yes you can! Substitute 1 cup of sugar for, 1/3 to 1/2 teaspoon of undiluted stevia powder, depending on how sweet you want your baking to be.
You can replace the lost bulk of sugar by using a 1/3 cup of a bulking agent. Healthy bulking agent are apple sauce, egg whites, yogurt and banana.
